Creative Team- The Isle of Brimsker

Alongside Artistic Directors, Amber Onat Gregory and Lucy Garland, and musician Al Watts, Frozen Light has been working with the following creative team for its production of The Isle of Brimsker.

KateKate O’Connor– Director

Kate is a director with a background in devised work. She enjoys creating alternate worlds with dystopian or fantastical edges, and thinking about how they reflect our own society. She has worked extensively in theatre for and with young adult audiences, and has greatly enjoyed working with Frozen Light and learning from their multi-sensory work. She has previously worked as director on Frozen Light’s previous productions.

Kate trained with Philippe Gaulier, where she learnt to be an idiot. Something which comes in very handy.

KatKatharine Heath- Set Designer

Katharine trained in Theatre Design at Wimbledon School of Art and Central Saint Martins.  She works as a Set and Costume designer in Theatre, Music and Opera and is drawn to unconventional and innovative forms of storytelling.

Play and experimentation are at the heart of Katharine’s work, she enjoys being part of the rehearsal process in devised performance to ensure design is entwined with the narrative.  She regularly works with immersive companies Punchdrunk, Theatre Delicatessen and Geraldine Pilgrim and enjoys working in a range of spaces, from broom cupboards to West End stage.
