Tunnels

Frozen Light in association with The New Wolsey Theatre presents:

TUNNELS

Tunnels is a dark underground adventure which follows Lana as she searches for the light that has disappeared from her city.  Lana is enticed into the Tunnels by the mysterious Cardini a creature of the underground who shows Lana the intriguing and exciting world that lies just meters under the city in which she lives.  Along the way Lana meets the curious Manu, a creature of the underground with a flair for all things musical and together they explore the tunnels.  Each tunnel appears to smell different: one of something old and musty, another of chocolate. One tunnel is warm and feels like sand but, strangely, the next tunnel is cold and wet. One tunnel is deeper than Lana has ever been before and glows oddly in the dark.   As exciting as her underground adventure is, will Lana ever find the light to take back to her city?

Tunnels mixes live music, sign and sensory experiences to create a unique, exciting and original piece of theatre specifically for young adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.

Tunnels was developed with a grant from Arts Council England and in Spring 2014 went on an 18 venue tour across the UK.  Twelve of these venues were supported by house which is an initiative to improve the range, quality and scale of theatre across the South East of England.
